After twenty-five years advising federal government officials and corporate leaders from around the world, Jerry Cox is recognized as a keen public policy analyst on a wide variety of subjects. Jerry played major roles in the adoption of several laws and court decisions affecting public safety, most notably in connection with the requirement for airbags in passenger automobiles. An honors graduate of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, Jerry also holds a law degree from the University of Virginia, where he edited the Virginia Law Weekly.
Jerry was Legislative Counsel for defense, intelligence and commerce issues to former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Sen. John C. Danforth (R-MO) Jerry later practiced law with a large international law firm and headed the technology, telecommunications and transportation consulting group at the world’s largest public relations firm. He owns Potomac Strategy Associates, a Washington-based law and public affairs consulting firm and serves as Washington Counsel for several influential trade groups and non-profit organizations.
