Jay Hamilton is an award-winning broadcast journalist working for Marriott International. He brought his news background to Marriott's corporate communications efforts reshaping the way guests and investors get their information in this digital media era. Before arriving at Marriott, Jay worked at CBS News and then formed his own company, Hamilton Productions, Inc., to produce the PBS series “Watch On Washington.” He also appeared regularly as an on-camera correspondent for ABC-7 News in the Nation’s Capital and on WPIX-TV, New York City.

As the producer of “Watch On Washington,” Jay changed the format into a live event with members of Congress in Washington answering questions from viewers back home. The New York Times gave the series a rave review saying, “Watch on Washington shines brightly.” The Washington Times wrote, “Watch on Washington is introducing a radical new notion that a broadcast about Congress doesn’t have to be boring.” Members of Congress praised it in the Congressional Record. The series was honored with an Emmy Award by the Washington Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Jay continues to serve on the Council on Competitiveness PR Advisory Board. He's also a guest lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with a degree in journalism.
